Kuta Software's Accessibility Statement
Introduction
Kuta Software’s goal is to make its math software and content accessible to as many teachers and students as possible. This page details accessibility support and deficiencies for Kuta Software’s products.
Kuta Software’s Products
We offer two types of products: our desktop software for teachers and our learning management system “Kuta Works.” Our desktop software for teachers is used by teachers to create and print hardcopy math worksheets. Students do not use the software. The software is installed on Windows or Mac computers. The desktop software for teachers includes Infinite Grade 6 Math, Infinite Pre-Algebra, Infinite Algebra 1, Infinite Geometry, Infinite Algebra 2, Infinite Precalculus, and Infinite Calculus.
We also offer Kuta Works. Kuta Works allows teachers to post multiple-choice assignments from the desktop software so students can complete the assignments online.
This page addresses accessibility for both students and teachers for both product types.
Desktop Software for Teachers - Accessibility for Students
Accessibility of the desktop software for teachers does not directly apply to students since students do not use the software. Students receive hardcopy printed math worksheets. These worksheets use 12-point font for most problems. To accommodate low vision students, an accessible printing feature allows teachers to print from 1 to 4 problems on a page at any font size that can fit on the paper. For example, printing the problem “5 + 8 * 2” on a sheet of letter size paper can be done in a font size of over 100-point. This feature removes the need for magnification copying. Desktop Software for Teachers - Accessibility for Teachers
Accessibility features include full keyboard navigation, keyboard shortcuts, high DPI screen support, light and dark mode support, well-named controls for screen readers, page zoom, and large tool-bar icons. Screen readers have access to math problems on the assignment view through the “Edit” option where they will be shown in Kuta Software’s math-formatted text. To learn about our math-formatted text, use the link below.
Although most problems are accessible through the Edit option, screen readers cannot describe problems with graphs, diagrams, or other special formatting.
The following VPATs detail accessibility conformance for the desktop software for teachers with WCAG 2.2 and Section 508.

Kuta Works - Accessibility for Both Students and Teachers
If a teacher is using Kuta Works in addition to the desktop software, the teacher may post assignments for their students to complete online. Kuta Works is a web application and has been designed for accessibility. Math problems are provided in Mathematical Markup Language (MathML) via MathJax. MathML is an industry standard adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium as the approved way of expressing math on the web. The Kuta Works application, including MathML content, can be navigated using web browsers with screen readers that can read MathML. The simplest student solution is a Chromebook. Chromebooks come with the ChromeVox screen reader, which can easily navigate the Kuta Works student interface including MathML. Teachers can use other accessible solutions such as the Chrome browser with the NVDA screen reader with the MathCat add-on.
The only known limitation of student and teacher usage of Kuta Works, is that it cannot create meaningful alternative text for problems that contain graphs, diagrams, or other special formatting. While problems can be zoomed for low vision users, blind users will require assistance with these problems.
